SkyBlade Fan Company (www.skybladefans.com), located in Warren, MI, is a manufacturer of High Volume Low Speed (HVLS) Fans, utilizing specially designed airfoils with leading edge STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) technology. SkyBlade delivers top efficiency to heating and cooling systems by reducing run times, cycles, and improving overall comfort. Established in 2010, SkyBlade Fan Company, currently with 20 employees, is a growing Michigan-based company expanding across the globe. Their fans are utilized in high ceiling facilities, open office spaces, warehouses, places of worship, gymnasiums/work out facilities, auto dealerships and more.


Challenge

When MMTC met with SkyBlade Fans, they identified a main goal for their company was to increase growth in the United States, as well as break out into Canada and Mexico. Without a strategic plan in place to accomplish this, increasing revenue and profit was going to be difficult. Discussions over the effectiveness of their website was also a concern.

After thorough analysis, a growth vision roadmap was developed for SkyBlade. That roadmap would serve as “Mission Control” for SkyBlade’s lead generation and export expansion. The most cost-effective means to accomplish these goals was to enhance SkyBlade’s website. MMTC rebuilt their website, which included a new content management system, design, enhanced content, integrated video functionality, and graphics, which maximized the site’s overall search engine optimization (SEO). To appeal to the expansion into Mexico and Canada, the company’s website also needed to increase export appeal, including language translation and international SEO. SkyBlade’s new website seamlessly integrated Google Analytics, incorporated Blog functionality, and mobile responsiveness.
