Lean Program Manager
As Lean Program Manager at The Center, Dave Kay provides custom training and mentoring to manufacturers across Michigan. His focus is on Lean philosophy, principles and tools to support companies as they work through their Lean transformation to reduce waste, cut costs and improve efficiency. Dave enjoys building strong relationships with his clients to strengthen their businesses and drive continuous improvement results.
Dave has more than 19 years of program development and implementation experience. He has held various Lean and performance excellence roles throughout his career in several industries, including defense and aerospace, automation systems, additive manufacturing and automotive. In these roles, Dave deployed and facilitated Lean tools and approaches to enhance process performance.
He holds a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University and is certified in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Manufacturing and Lean Champion.
