Pete is the Business Solutions Manager for Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center-Northeast in Saginaw, covering Genesee, Lapeer, St. Clair, Tuscola, Sanilac and Huron counties. His primary responsibilities are to help small and mid-sized manufacturers by providing them with assistance and expertise to help them grow and improve.
Professional Experience
In his early career, Pete spent 24 years within the Tier 1 automotive world, holding management positions in Quality, Accounting and Technical Sales. In the last 10 years, he has held the position of Business Development Manager at three organizations. At Pfinder Chemical USA, Pete was the only U.S. employee covering North America and Mexico. During these 10 years, Pete visited hundreds of manufacturers from across the country, providing recommendations and solutions to make them more profitable. Pete’s experience in multiple departments gives him the ability to quickly identify specific challenges and needs a company may be facing.
Since 1996, Pete has worked as an independent Wine Consultant as owner of Vino Encounter. In addition to recommending food and wine pairings to customers, Pete also offers in-home wine tasting and education services.
Education
Pete currently has two associate degrees from Macomb Community College and is working on his bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University. Pete also is a certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, certified e-marketer and Lean Manufacturing Champion.
