SAYLOR BEALL: Improving Manufacturing Performance Through Technology Alignment

Working with Chuck at MMTC was fantastic. He analyzed our process and helped us find a bunch of MES options that could work for us. He was well versed in the pros and cons of each, and put forward multiple best options that we could choose from. He worked with us every step of the way to make sure we made the most informed decision we could have.
-- Andrew McFee, Vice President of Manufacturing

Solution

Saylor-Beall engaged the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) for assistance in identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency. MMTC conducted a comprehensive Technology Opportunity Assessment, which determined that Saylor-Beall would benefit from increased visibility within its production environment. This finding supported the company’s assessment that its existing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) provider was not an optimal fit. Leveraging MMTC’s expertise, a specialist evaluated potential solutions, provided objective guidance, and recommended vendors capable of meeting Saylor-Beall’s operational requirements. As a result of this collaboration, Saylor-Beall selected CIMx and its Quantum software platform, which effectively integrated the shop floor with real-time data visibility.
