Competitive analysis is often performed when evaluating how an organization performs side by side to its competitors. At the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center, we have an assessment called Performance Benchmarking which is just that, but for Michigan manufacturing organizations.
What Is Benchmarking?
The benchmarking assessment compares your organization against other organizations in the industry. Here you can get a better understanding of where your strengths and weaknesses lie. This assessment well can also answer your questions like “what should we be doing?,” “what are we doing right?,” “what could be improved?”
This tool is only one part of a much larger assessment called the Transformation Planner.
