Lance Bowley

Quality Program Manager

Lance Bowley is a Quality Program Manager at MMTC. Lance manages and delivers Quality training and implementation assistance to Michigan’s small to midsize manufacturers in the fields of ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949 and AS9100. He has experience as an internal auditor and in the disciplines involving the automotive core tools of quality systems consisting of FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, and Root Cause Analysis/Problem Solving.

Professional Experience 
Lance has more than 20 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Quality Management. During his time as a corporate staff member, he participated in numerous successful large launches including Attune (Depuy), Mortar Fins, Joint Light-weight Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), and the Iron Fist programs, performing all quality APQP and PPAP requirements. He has also led several companies in their initial acquisition of new certifications including AS9100, IATF 16949 and ISO14001.

Prior to MMTC, Lance worked as a Quality Technician and then Quality Engineer for Orchid Orthopedics Solutions, a medical implant company with ISO13485 certification. He then worked for Saline Lectronics and Loc Performance (Rheinmetall) as a Quality Manager. Most recently, Lance was the Quality Manager at Globe Tech, LLC.

Education
Lance has an MBA and MSBA from Syracuse University, NY. He also has a green and black belt in Lean / Six Sigma from University of Michigan and Internal Auditing certifications from Omnex for ISO9001/IATF 16949, AS9100 and ISO14001.
