The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) and the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center will host an important cybersecurity symposium focusing on best practices and lessons learned with TACOM Life Cycle Management Command’s workforce and their Industrial Partners regarding the implementation and execution of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Clause.

The DFARS Clause 252.204-7012, titled “Safeguarding Covered Defense Information (CDI) and Cyber Incident Reporting,” require contractors and their subcontractors to protect CDI that (1) resides on or is transitioning through their internal information systems or networks, (2) report cyber incidents that affect the ability to perform requirements designated as operationally critical, and (3) flow down the clause in subcontracts for operationally critical support, or for which subcontract performance will involve CDI.
