Power of Lean Series


Participants will experience Lean thinking applied in a manufacturing, processing, and assembly flow as well as a transactional and paperwork flow. They will apply workplace organization to both. This series will help you contribute to your organization’s Lean transformation by understanding the lean philosophy of identifying and removing waste, workplace organization, standard work, flow and pull, and basic problem solving. This Active Learning Model class will have you applying your skills immediately.

AT THE END OF THIS TRAINING, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Define Lean

  • Describe the 8 wastes

  • Identify and define Lean tools such as Takt Time and Cycle Time, Cellular Flow, 5S Workplace Organization, One piece flow, Visual Management, Pull Replenishment Systems, Continuous Improvement, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work and Visual Management

  • Apply these tools in the Lean manufacturing simulation

  • See the financial impacts of applying Lean tools
