DISTANCE LEARNING: Lean Six Sigma Fundamentals


This online, interactive class develops the skills necessary to become a critical part in any organization’s quality improvement initiatives. It provides a strong foundation of the Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for meaningful participation in Six Sigma project teams led by Certified Green or Black Belts.

This course is designed for individuals, such as test engineers, designers, operators, lab technicians, managers, engineers and interns, who will play a supportive role in a Lean or Six Sigma project or who are a part of a Lean Six Sigma team. 

AT THE END OF THIS TRAINING, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Communicate using Lean Six Sigma concepts
  • Relate Lean Six Sigma concepts to the overall business objectives
  • Use the five-step DMAIC model to support process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in the development or refinement of a project charter
  • Understand process maps, Pareto charts, control charts and histograms
  • Identify the root cause of a problem
  • Document process changes and use a control plan to prevent backsliding
