ISO 14001:2015 Management Transition

ISO 14001:2015 Management Transition

We help you find a way to manage

There’s always something new under the sun, or in the workplace – especially when the Federal Government is involved! The only thing constant is change.  That’s why the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center takes pride in delivering the most current, large and miniscule changes to and about the ISO 14001:2015 rules and regulations.  We want you to be armed with the knowledge to keep your machinery running, keep product flowing, and keep the workers working!

This course will inform organizational management, including Top Management, Management Representatives, Environmental Compliance Officers, Environmental Health and Safety Officers and Process owners about how ISO 14001:2015 will impact their current Environmental Management System. It will stress the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 and what changes may need to be made as a result of the transition. An effective transition plan will be the goal, and the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center will provide the tools and fasteners.

ISO 14001:2015 helps an organization achieve the intended outcomes of its environmental management system, which provide value for the environment, the organization itself and interested parties. Consistent with the organization's environmental policy, the intended outcomes of an environmental management system include:

  • Enhancement of environmental performance;
  • Fulfillment of compliance obligations;
  • Achievement of environmental objectives.

ISO 14001:2015 is applicable to any organization, regardless of size, type and nature, and applies to the environmental aspects of its activities, products and services that the organization determines it can either control or influence considering a life cycle perspective. ISO 14001:2015 does not state specific environmental performance criteria.

The framework introduced in this International Standard could be integrated into a Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Model, which can help new and existing users to understand the importance of a systems approach. Important? Yes! Necessary? Yes! Doable? Yes! Registered yet? ( ) Yes! ( ) No!  Do it today!
