Shaun Leahey

Quality Program Manager

Shaun Leahey is a Quality Program Manager at The Center. Drawing from more than 18 years of experience as a quality professional, Shaun helps Michigan manufacturers achieve business goals, reduce/eliminate defects, and elevate customer satisfaction through the application of quality and leadership principles.

Shaun’s experience with training and developing team members’ quality skills, combined with his expertise in supplier quality assurance, root cause corrective action and Quality Management Systems, enable him to support manufacturers in meeting their quality objectives. He also assists companies in strengthening workforce leadership, building better teams, and coaching new and experienced supervisors in The Center’s Supervisor Skills courses.

Professional Experience
Prior to joining The Center, Shaun worked at Graham Packaging as the Business Unit Quality Manager. There, he oversaw quality performance for their North American business unit – including eight plants and five key customers – as well as supported all plants’ manufacturing quality to ensure problems were resolved and corrective actions were implemented. Shaun also worked for Lear Corporation as a Plant Quality Manager. In this role, he led a team responsible for delivering high quality seating to a luxury customer, successfully obtained TS16949 certification with zero nonconformances and transitioned to the IATF 16949 standard.

Education & Certifications
Shaun is a certified QMS Auditor (ISO 9001:2015) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging from Michigan State University. He also has been trained as an AIAG VDA 6.3 Certified Process Auditor.
